Wood is an imperfect material, due to this there are bats that don't meet the specifications for game use. These bats are called blemished bats and can still be used in batting practice or off the tee. Blemishes range from visual defects like heart wood, dark spots, engraving and paint errors, or dimensional mistakes such as an undersized knob or slight weight issues. Bats with structural defects are not included. Blemished bats are limited in availability due to the quality of our wood suppliers and will be sold whenever they are in stock.
